It was a beautiful day out. I hope to roll out of bed and go run tomorrow. Though I am pretty tired atm, so I don't know if waking up to go run will happen. Had a haircut at 8am today, woke up at 1:30am to my fiancee cleaning the bathroom... At 1:30 in the morning... I have no idea. I wish I could have nap... But bed soon.

made pizza ....roasted red peppers and olives...now my condo smells of roasted red peppers....nice!

lol She was upset because I didn't let her clean the shower... Just another reason I love her, her and her darn quirks.

I grilled out last night. Burgers and fries, was a good time.

got our new router set up....now we just wait to see if it will continue to work....and now that my cold is almost gone, my allergies are taking front and center

Michael O'Hare passed away on September 28th from a heart attack, best known to sci fi fans for his role in Babylon 5 Jeffery Sinclair...he was only 60 (and born in Chicago!)

Hmm, I don't know him by name or face, but very sad to hear...

Well today was crazy. Yesterday when I got home I saw a spot on the ground where I park my car. Turns out coolant had vented out of my overflow tank while it was parked at my apartment. Didn't know why. Asked my dad, he said either bad radiator cap (cheap fix) or leaky head gaskets or cracked engine head (expensive repairs...). Well hopefully it is the cap. The cap is in bad shape so I bought a new one after work today. Letting the car cool down before I replace it.

hope that turned out well...car repairs are...well, I am not a fan especially this year.

now hubby is getting the cold...but he doesnt sound as bad as I did (good thing...that was awful!)

so going to have a babylon 5 marathon this weekend (mostly season 1 and perhaps the movie...in horror of the newly departed).
gotta go and make some popcorn

Heavy frost this A.M. Went out and started the truck and scraped the windshield for the wife at 4:00am. The dogs looked at me as if I was stupid, when I tried to get them out for a bit. Just a small taste of things yet to come. I am NOT a winter person like I once was.

almost time to trade cars (hubby gets the subaru during the winter since it has all wheel drive), and time to harvest the last of the herbs

Got some frost here last night. Not heavy frost, but frost none the less. Really need to get my window mounted air conditioner out...

Ya car problem... Hmm. About that. Turns out it was NOT the radiator cap. Was filling it up with coolant yesterday and found out the overflow tank was cracked and leaking. So now I have to get a new overflow tank. Usually $60. Called around, found where we got it from (we just got it 16 months ago) and am getting it replaced. Website says limited lifetime warranty, they said 1 year. They are going to honor the website warranty. Get it for free.

Just have to go pick it up either today or tomorrow when it arrives.

wow....you have some good luck there pwnd...glad people still honor posted warranties and stuff.

and yeah, thinking its about time to turn the thermostat over to heat instead of cool (though the dang a/c was on yesterday withOUT the oven being on...just wonderful living on the top floor--NOT!)

Well went and picked it up today. I believe the one I just got will only have a 1 yr warranty on it though... Which is too bad but hopefully this one doesn't crack. Of course when I went to go get that, my dad was trying to change the oil in my sisters car. Oil filter was stuck. Took us about 2 hours instead of 30 mins to finish the oil change. Had to bring him back a new part to get it off.

Ya my heat was on last night. Too cold for it not to be.

I believe the temp in my condo was down to 73 last night...still nice sleeping temp, when it gets into the 60's I will turn the heat on...otherwise it will get too hot during the day.

73? Mine got down to 58. Awesome sleeping weather. Sucky getting up weather lol Did not want to get out of bed!

Got home tonight after visiting my parents and removed my a/c unit. That should help keep this place a little bit warmer now.

thats what we get for being on the top floor....hot in the summer and cold in the winter...and for a few weeks inbetween comfortable (its down to 72 now)....

Hot air rises. My neighbors just don't have their heat on yet me thinks... Oh well. As long as I wear long pants, socks, and a hoodie I'm fine.

woot hit 69 in the condo over night...good thing I forgot to change the thermostat over to heat since its set at 71

...and I have yet to clean the filter on the furnace.
ah monday...holiday for banks and the government...and for the rest of the country---business as usual.

Mine kept right around 60 last night, what I have it set at. Now it is 65 in here cause that is what I set the heat too. Cleaned a little bit this morning. I'll have to see if I'm still motivated later to clean my bathroom or not.

Yay for a day off. Thank goodness...
